You can quickly search for a member using the basic search feature at the top of the Members page. When using search, it is helpful to keep the following points in mind:
Only members that are currently displayed are searched (if the members list extends over multiple pages, all pages are considered "displayed"). For example, if you have already performed a search to limit your members list, only members that were displayed for the first search are considered for the second.
Searching is not case-sensitive.
Only fields that have been configured as searchable are included in the search. (Note: With the exception of Salutation and Photo, all default fields are configured as searchable.)
When you enter multiple words in the search box, the search functionality logically ORs the words together. For example, entering sales associate for your search term translates into a search for sales OR associate. Entries that contain sales, associate, associate sales, or sales associate are all considered valid search results.
You can use quotation marks to search for an exact multi-word string. For example, a search on "sales associate" will find sales associate but will ignore other permutations.
To search for a member using basic search:
In the Menu, click Members.
Enter your search terms in the Search box and
click Go.
Your web office searches all searchable fields for the members currently
displayed and returns a list of members that match your search terms.
Notice in the example below that the search term is found in the Company
field for one member and in the Name field for the other.
You can sort the returned list of members (by company, for example), by choosing an option from the View by menu. To see more detailed information about a particular member, click the person's name.
If you didn't find the member you are looking for, you may want to use advanced search or check our Search Tips.
To clear the current search results and return to a complete list of members, click Clear Search.
